Pam Groff – Pam began her career at Fort Hays State University 23 years ago working in the Admissions Office as the Student Information Processor/Scholarship Office Manager. She held this position for 18 years before making the switch to the Financial Aid Office. She has spent the past 5 years at FHSU as the Verification Specialist, which also manages eligibility issues and ISIR Load check in. She is also the Homeless Student Liaison.
Darcy Johnson – Darcy has been employed at Emporia State University for the past 7 years in the Financial Aid Office. She is currently serving as the KASFAA Vice President, as well as working with the Professional Development Training taskforce and the Outreach Training Committee. She received a MS in Instruction Design and Technology, which is definitely paying off with this passion for training!
Mitzi Suhler – Mitzi has been a part of higher education for 11 years, of which 8 of those years have been in financial aid. Mitzi is active in KASFAA often volunteering to train or present at conferences. The best thing she enjoys about her job is working with students and families in a one-on-one setting.
Sara Vancil – Sara is an Assistant Director for Financial Aid and Scholarships at the University of Kansas. She has worked in the office for 11 years. In addition to counseling students and families, she is also responsible for developing the COA, managing packaging, and a variety of other things. She has taught at RMASFAA Summer Institute and is currently the President of KASFAA.
